Job Description
Role Responsibilities:
- Ownership of developing automated, state of the art data platform for various jobs and types to be consumed by Product and Engineering.
- Developing custom data models and algorithms for data analysis and Big data
- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
- Doing ad-hoc analysis, reporting and presenting results in a clear manner
- Creating automated anomaly and fraud detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
- Integrate with different data sources to collect and process and transfer data in realtime using different Big Data tools and frameworks.
- Write ETL processes using various realtime distributed computing frameworks like Spark, Storm, Flink, etc in Java/Python/Scala
Relevant Experience and required Skills:
- Should have a working experience of 4+ years with the Big Data ecosystem, integrating and implementing solutions using technologies like - Hive, Pig, Mapreduce, HDFS etc.
- Should have a proficient understanding of distributed computing paradigm and realtime processing Vs batch processing paradigm.
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as K-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Random Forest etc.
- Experience with common data science and EDA toolkits, such as Python, Panda, NumPy, MatLab etc.
- Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Should be proficient in working with Hadoop Ecosystem and other distributed computing frameworks
- Should have experience in writing ETL processes and connect to different data sources using different mediums and technologies.
- Should be proficient in at least one of the following programming language - Java, Python, Scala. Python preferred.
- Experience in AWS and data services (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, pySpark etc) is required.

- Should be able to do effort estimations
- Ability to set meet high professional standards
- Strong Mathematical, Analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Confidence to liaise with business users and senior business and technology managers
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or applied math
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Flexible and responsive work style
- Strong personal ownership
