Job Profile :
Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously. Thorough understanding of concepts, procedures and application of project management.
Evaluates, sometimes complex situations using multiple sources of information. Solution may require some new planning and resource elements but unless exceptional unlikely to be totally bespoke.
Projects may involve a higher element of risk to business and require ability to use recognised project management methods and processes, depending on risk profile and governance needs.
Must have proven ability to apply relationship management skills and to be able to build and own client and stakeholder relationships at senior (e.g. GM and above or prime external customer).
Third party suppliers may have to be managed in terms of deliverables, timelines and budgets.
Directs and manages on all elements of project and should guide Delivery team.
Acts as lead change agent with ability to channel resources effectively internally developing better delivery practice or ability to identify the change impact on the organisation, identify stakeholders and manage relationships, risk and engagement to deliver the projects outcomes successfully
To lead, coach and motivate a team towards achieving individual and team targets, and delivering excellent standards of Customer Service.
To take ownership and accountability of teams SLA targets and drive the team to exceed or meet them at the minimum.
Key Responsibilities
Experienced in all stages of the project lifecycle, leadership skills to manage stakeholders, customers and suppliers, specific to project.
Able to deliver benefit to customer satisfaction. Also, able to build long term relationships with customers based on development of a shared vision. This relationship should be based on honesty, trust and good communication.
Will demonstrate a drive to deliver below cost expectations and where possible ahead of time but not at the expense of the contracted deliverables quality or end to end financial profile of the project. That can deliver work within agreed time, cost & quality.
Able to demonstrate communication, diplomacy & persuasion skills.
Able to manage internal & external inputs & dependencies and set project direction.
Able to own the project team's estimates within larger project/programme.
Able to identify risks, issues, dependencies & mitigate them.
Identify and manage critical path and milestones, establish strong change control mechanism.
Develop & manage comprehensive project plans, good in documentation & sound hands on knowledge of project tools like mpp
Able to chair project meetings, involving clients & suppliers also strong leadership skill to manage diversified technical team
needs
Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, schedule and quality.
Coordinate various layers of customer and internal stakeholders during all project phases, from initial development through implementation and closure.
Interval reporting to internal and external stakeholders as per established communication plan
Able to participate in post-project reviews and to adopt lessons learned
Skills/Experience (Project Management):
Good Experience of handling large project deliveries and stakeholder management as defined by the needs of the business, including customer, project team, project suppliers and other affected parties.
Should have overall experience of at least 10+ years with 7+ years experience of project management Exp in govt project is preferred).
Typically has experience of owning end to end project delivery over a number of years. Good record of delivering against pre-determined requirements, within cost, schedule and quality
Should have understanding and experience of Configuration Change Management, Governance, Issue and Risk Management, Planning and Scheduling, Communication Management, Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management, Estimating
Should have led a small team comprising of project professionals resources & managed them.
High standard of written and spoken English.
Highly Numerate.
Competence in Windows based tools Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Access
Escalation management and complaint handling
Technical:
Good and thorough Understanding of IT & Telecom related product/service implementation for example MPLS, LAN, WAN, Leased Lines, VOIP etc.
Good understanding of IT & Network products for example Routers, Switches Firewalls, Security products, servers Avaya, IP Telephony, Video conferencing etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Computer science or equivalent to work.
Overall experience of at least 10+ years with 5-7 years experience of project management Exp with Juniper product is plus & project management in networking solutions deployment
Preferable certifications PMP Prince 2 certification
Knowledge of ITIL process or certification is plus
Certifications in Networking is big plus
Other Information:
Location is Jammu, India
Travel requirements for the position
Should be open to travel to Kashmir
Should have handled Govt. projects
Should be able to manage Networking, Datacentre, IP telephony, Video conferencing projects
SWAN Project exposure would be advantage
