Operations Engineer - Pune

If so, then you could be the Operations Engineer that we are looking for.
ThinkAnalytics are world leaders in Real-Time Personalised Recommendations and Search & Viewer Analytics solutions. We are looking for an Operations Engineers who has experience of working in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for Cloud and On-premises deployment and infrastructure/application monitoring and supporting the availability of non-production and production environments to join our talented team in our Pune Office.
You will work closely with the development and project teams in the delivery of non-production and production environments. The development side is already done, so you will own deployment, maintenance, monitoring and support of non-production and production environments. You will create monitoring solutions for high load real-time systems to serve our worldwide customer base, including leading TV platforms such as TataSky, Viacom18 and the BBC.
Key responsibilities
You will work in our modern Pune office within a highly skilled and experienced team to:
* Work collaboratively with development and project delivery teams to deploy non-production and production environments.
* Create, maintain, and optimise infrastructure as code in Cloud and On-premises Deployment and infrastructure/application monitoring through collaboration with the development, project, and infrastructure teams.
* Implement processes to support the availability of non-production and production environments for team members including development, project and test.
* Support and improve our monitoring tools to provide early visibility to the business of Compliance to performance, availability, and incident SLA's.
* Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues in our non-production and production environments.
* Participate in a 24/7 rota to keep our customers mission critical systems running smoothly at all times.
Background & Experience
We'd like to hear from you if you have:
* 5+ years of Cloud and On-premises Deployment experience.
* 3+ years of experience in providing Technical support.
* BE/BTech/ME/MTech/MCA/Computer Science Graduate with 60% and above aggregate.
* Cloud deployment qualification such as AWS Certification.
* ITIL Foundation or experience working within an ITIL environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A can-do attitude, an ability to work under pressure, an amazing attention to detail and superb team working skills.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Building and deploying securely to Cloud and On-premises platforms utilising private
networking structures, policies, rules, and configuration management.
* Relevant scripting (i.e. PowerShell, YAML, JSON) in Cloud and On-premises
implementation automation
* Understanding of Networking, Routing, IPsec Tunnelling, Security Ports, Firewalls,
Egress/Ingress, IAM.
* Experience of Infrastructure as Code for automated deployment and configuration.
* Administration and deployment experience with Cloud and On-premises in a nonproduction
and production environment.
* Experience of Linux, e.g. RedHat/CentOS, Amazon Linux.
* Experience of Java application servers, e.g. JBoss/Wildfly
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Containers and Microservices - Docker, Kubernetes etc.
* Administering and deploying to other cloud and datacentre infrastructure is advantageous
- GCP, Azure, VMWare, OpenStack.
* Design and implementation of system monitoring, and metrics capture e.g. using Nagios,
ELK/Splunk, Opsview, CloudWatch etc.
* Clear understanding of networking and networking products e.g. AWS VPCs, ELB, Route
53.
* Knowledge of Oracle and/or MySQL databases.
* Experience in designing and documenting operational processes
