Software Engineer - Java @ United Health Group

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain Java applications within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Java
• Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value
• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
• Identify production and non-production application issues
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java developed projects
• Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions
• Ensure timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per SLA
• Participate in Scrum meetings, Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases

Required Qualifications:

• Strong Agile background
• Hands-on with Agile Central (Rally)
• JavaJ2EE, Spring Framework, Elastic Search, Cassandra DB
• Web Services
• Jenkins, Github
