Data Science Senior Manager (R, Python, @ United Health Group

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with key stakeholders on regular basis and identify the new Analytics business opportunities
• Provide explanations and interpretations within area of expertise by analyzing and investigating
• Drive Marketing Analytics for Healthcare Domain
• Strong Delivery of Advanced Analytics and ML Projects
• Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise
• Manage a team of data/statistical analysts
• Work exclusively within a specific knowledge area
• Prioritize and organizes own work to meet deadlines
• Provide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Quantitative or related field
• 5+ years of experience in R/Python/BigData with analysis experience, programming, and reporting
• 5 years of business analytics work experience
• 2+ years of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation)
• Experience in managing a team of Data/Statistical Analysts
• 2+ years of healthcare knowledge
• Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures
• Solid understanding of data storage structures
• Strong in Machine-Learning Techniques and Business Solutioning
• Demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
• Excellent time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with reporting and analyzing large amounts of data
• Ability to relay analytical insight to internal and external stakeholders with various levels of analytical skills and at all levels of seniority
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects proactively
• Meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continual improvement
• Innovative and creative, with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Credible and articulate, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
