Senior Manager - Data Analyst (BigData) @ United Health Group

Job Description

  Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop technical solutions utilizing the big data platform
• Work very closely with Big Data Analytics (Data Engineer and Data Science) Team to quickly and accurately assemble appropriate databases for data mining
• Define technical requirements
• Load data into HDFS
• Manage Linux directory structure
• Manage HDFS framework
• Manage Hive databases, data extraction
• Data transformation, automating jobs, create complex reports, jobs production setup
• Explore new big data technologies within a Massively Parallel Processing environment
• Mentor Junior Big Data Analyst/Data Engineers/Data Scientists working in projects
• Perform code reviews, suggest improvements, Perform Testing of the code developed by developers
• Take part in conducting POC s by evaluating Big Data tools
• Machine Learning and AI - theory and implementation
• Predictive Analytics - Advanced theory and implementation

Required Qualifications:

• Engineering Graduate/Masters in Mathematics/Statistics disciplines
• 10+ years of experience in Big Data and Hadoop technologies
• Extensive SQL
• Hive QL, Spark, HDFS, Sqoop, Pig, Python, HBase, MLlib, Docker, GitHub, Authorization Models, Java for understanding and resolving the errors
• Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, Automations, Scheduling
• Strong understanding of complex business problems to ensure projects are leveraging the appropriate technology and the technical design enables the delivery of a comprehensive solution
• Very good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post Graduate in CSE (Tier 1 Institutes)
• Healthcare experience
• Ability to relay analytical insight to internal and external stakeholders with various levels of analytical skills and at all levels of seniority
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects proactively
• Meticulous attention to detail, with an overall passion for continual improvement
• Innovative and creative, with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Credible and articulate, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
