Job Description
Position DescriptionPosition Overview:
We are looking for a BI / Big Data Architect / Cloud Architect (Azure) who will be a part of the design, development and maintenance of various BI and Analytics programs in Healthcare. The architect will be associated throughout the entire lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery of various programs. Solutions would be around niche BI Technologies and prominent Big Data products.
Proven success as a Data Modeler in designing and implementing business intelligence solutions
Extensive knowledge of data warehouse principles and best practices
Strong experience in data modeling of conceptual, logical and physical models
Strong background in data architecture, data modeling, data management, data analytics, business intelligence, preferably in insurance industry
Excellent understanding of solutions architectural principles, data integration, and data warehousing
Experience as data architect developing complex logical data models that support business processes
Experience in developing data models for data warehouse, reporting and analytic solutions (dimensional models)
Understanding of ETL design and development best practices
Experience with data modeling tools like ERWin
Experience tuning very large data sets
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to clearly articulate solution alternatives
Big Data Architect with strong experience in Architecting Big Data solutions.
Should have experience in creating the Big Data ecosystem and drive strategy planning by working with various stakeholders
Strong working knowledge in Big Data architectures and ecosystem components including Hadoop, NoSQL
Understanding emerging and evolving end user usage models and requirements in Big Data
Document usage models & business, technical & user requirements and designing solutions architecture to meet those requirements & specifying an implementation HW & SW solution stack.
Experience in Enterprise Integration Architecture patterns and technologies. Databases, distributed computing platforms: Hive, Pig, Sqoop, HBase, MapReduce, YARN, Spark, Pentaho; Azure Cloud
Implementation experience with Hadoop clusters or comparable distributed platforms like MapR, Cloudera etc.
Proven ability in evaluating technologies and products, contrasting capabilities and making recommendations, and presenting results to leadership team
Proven ability to rapidly deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept work to validate a proposed architectural approach
Should have experience in Data Integration, Data Warehousing and Analytics areas
Strong communication skills including representing your company in industry standards
Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and collaboration
Great attention to detail and design
Strong work prioritization, planning, and organizational skills
Passionate advocate for agile software development methodologies
Ability to bridges gaps across business areas, operational business units, infrastructure team, and development teams
Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
Ability to work independently, as well as on teams, in an agile, global environment
Experience in various BI/DWH technologies: Tableau, MS SSIS, SSRS, Cognos, SAS, SPSS, Cognos, and RDBMS databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and Appliances (IBM Netezza, Teradata, Oracle Exadata etc.)
Experience in Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark etc. and have up to date knowledge of Big Data technologies

Qualifications -
Minimum Requirements:
B.E. or Masters in Computer Science or related field (such as MS in Analytics etc.)
13+ years of technical solutions experience including 7+ years of in a combination of BI / DWH, Analytics, and Big Data:
Deployment of a large BI/DWH projects
Experience in Health care domain Preferable
Experience/Exposure to Hadoop and other Industry Big Data Frameworks
