Job Description
- Drive entire testing team from Automation Perspective
- Manage overall testing requirement under specific area. Manage all test resources.
- Understand functional requirement of the project and prepare testing plan, help test resources with test cases
- Support test resources with Legacy Application under MCA
- Support test resources with test data setup
- Participate in discussions with functional team to understand the gherkin tests along-with required Pre and Post conditions.
- Create query log/ mind map/ flow charts
- Create Automation code using Java, Selenium, JQuery, Cucumber without support.
- Work on enhancements needed to the repository and framework to enable other team members, work on automation scripting.
- Work on JIRA requests raised by the team to create new cucumber keywords or enhance the existing one for the team to proceed.
- Work as a back-up for the LM during his absence and own a specific track of activities set by the LM.
- Constant communication and follow-ups with various stake holders to track deliverable during test automation and dry-run phases where applicable. Escalate issues to LM as appropriate
- Complete tasks / deliverables within schedule constraints (for self)
- Provide guidance to other team members on technology/ application queries
- Mentor junior testers within the team, including pairing with them.
- Review business requirements to understand how system requirements fit within overall business solution. Challenge any requirements that are incomplete or do not provide sufficient clarity to support effective system development.
- Review requirements to identify all areas of functional and non-functional (e.g. capacity, availability, response times, etc.) testing required.
- Support business colleagues in defining detailed 'testable' requirements.
- Champion transition to automated testing solutions to reduce software time-to-market.
- Awareness of Retail banking Domain and Prior experience of testing in this domain.
- Exposure to Automation testing using Selenium, Java, Cucumber, API automation, JQuery and mobile automation using See Test or Appium.
- Should have exposure to Agile methodologies, gradle and Jenkins set-up and some banking domain exposure.
- Should possess high analytical and problem solving skills. Quite often the role will require an individual to impact assess critical and complex test automation problems (such as framework/approach/interdependencies/GUI design/test data to be used etc) in short time durations hence having significant knowledge on the HTML DOM structure and application (ROLB) will be the key.
- Hands on experience in Retail Banking domain with knowledge of test automation.
- BE / MCA with IT experience in Software Testing.
