Job Description
Responsibilities
We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for scaling real-time computer vision and machine learning algorithms to production worthy solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to add direct value to a multi-million dollar high bandwidth inspection system. The responsibilities include working closely with algorithm engineers and research scientists to develop a good understanding of cutting edge computer vision algorithms and transforming them to optimized implementations with rigor on tests. The right candidate will also have an opportunity to have an impact on the design of next generation HPC system that supports executing hybrid algorithms on CPUs and GPUs.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying the right SW design / architecture for implementation and hold detailed design reviews
- Work with difference sub-systems to break down pipeline into work/process flows
- Drive system level integration and deliver solutions
- Build automated test suites for existing and new capabilities
- Work on building supporting SW infrastructure to enable rapid development and deployment of cutting edge algorithms
- Understand bottlenecks via detailed throughput analysis and propose / implement solutions to overcome them.
- Ability to thrive in a highly cross functional setup by interfacing with other SW modules, systems engineering and applications teams
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on knowledge of C++/C# and object oriented programming
- Experience with Windows Application development and debugging environment
- Experience in designing software systems and driving SW design discussions
- Experience with writing Unit and Integration tests
