Job Description
We are looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible to lead shipping administration, people, cost, quality, delivery performance and continuous improvements in the Shipping function.The position will be based out in Chakan, Pune and will be required to travel upto 10 % of your time.
As Control Tower Manager based in Chakan (Pune), you will be responsible for shipping administration, people, cost, quality, delivery performance and continuous improvements in the Shipping function.
The Control Tower Manager will also lead initiatives to attain the company s key strategic objectives by improving existing processes, reducing inefficiencies and increasing productivity.
Furthermore, the Control Tower Manager will participate in and/or drive projects to improve processes and optimize delivery performance, transport management and delivery methods.
Responsibilities:
- Full staff responsibility including competencies development plans, performance reviews and recruitment
- Participate in Shipping management team, budget, target and capacity setting
- Secure daily deliveries of Machines - On Time In Full with Quality
- Continuously improve the Tetra Pak Production System Shipping
- Develop and manage processes and tools to ensure efficient outbound flow from point of origin to destination
- Develop and manage routines and standards for outbound transportation and relevant customs documentation
- Develop and manage external resources and contacts with suppliers and external partners
- Participate in logistic, procurement, general sub-contracting agreements and appendix definition
- Develop team mindset, motivation and skills to contribute continuous improvement.
- Ensure cost efficient transportation service according to client and customer need.
- Provide KPI reports with data and actions to measure progress against set objectives.
We are looking for you, a curious, committed, and highly motivated colleague wanting to expertly learn and work with Tetra Pak. We believe you have a minimum of 8 years work experience within logistics/supply chain management with excellent leadership and people management skills. Experience in Shipping and Transportation Management along with excellent analytical skills are also required.
You hold a university Bachelor s Degree in supply chain/logistics or have an equivalent solid technical educational background within logistics. Your English skills, verbal and written, are at business level.
