Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION OF STAFF NURSE
Required Academic Qualifications:
Essential: General Nursing Midwifey from a recognized university.
Desirable: Preference will be given to B.Sc Nursing candidates with two or more years of experience
Number of Positions : 6( 3 for PHC Raikinari in Dumka and 3 for PHC Pakbar in Jamtara)
Place of posting : PHC dumka in Raikinari and PHC Dumka in Jamtara
No. of working days: 7
Working hours : As per shifts
Shift : Day and night for 24*7 PHC
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking and handing over charge of patients and ward inventory in each shift.
- Care of Personal Hygiene of patients
Emotional support to be provided
Provide medication/injection/other therapies in time according to the prescription by the incharge doctor.
- Making local purchase and indent of the Drug Store.
Participation in organisational activities of the institute under the concerned authority of the institute.
To allocate duties and responsibilities of warders, Class IV employees.
Preparation of Duty Roster for all under employees.
Maintenance of Records/Reports of under staff which includes absentees, leave record, A.C.R. etc and other documentation records.
Guidance and Counseling.
Daily Round of the clinical area, guidance supervision and of the clinical staff and area.
Imparting of service problem related with patient or employees and clinical areas.
Supervision of ward records related with the patients.
Supervision of the activities of the ward staff and security staff.
Participation in and among event and preparation of special rounds.
Human rights of the patient are not violated at any cost. To make the junior staff aware of the rights of the patients and staff.
Keeping the ward clean and tidy
Routine care and cleaning of dressing trolleys, cubboards, apparatus, mackintosh etc.
Care of clean and soiled linen
Disinfection of linen, beds, floor and bed pans, and fumigation of rooms etc.
Preparation of room, trolleys and sets for procedures.
Preparation of surgical supplies
Maintaining interpersonal relationship with patients, relatives and healthy team members
Orientation of new staff/ student
Report about the medicolegal cases if any admitted in the ward
Any other duty that may be assigned by Medical officer and HLFPPT
