Associate Software Engineer Manager II @ United Health Group

Job Description

Work may include sensitive healthcare information, data, trends, or claims.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work in Oracle and ETL

• Design, code, test, debug, document, and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value

• Demonstrate strong analysis and investigative skills in coming up with technical solutions

• Enhance current application to improve system performance

• Create technical and testing documents

• Analyze system programs to answer business and user queries

• Coordinate activities with other technical and functional areas as required

• B.Tech./MCA/Graduation (Minimum 15 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant)

• 10+ years of overall total IT experience

• Experience on Databases, SQL programming

• Demonstrated technical capability (in writing) clearly to the use case scenario's presented during evaluation

• Applied knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems

• Presented multiple options for given problem statement

• Strong SQL/PL SQL knowledge including Performance Tuning

• Good in learning & adopting new technologies, leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems

• Excellent team player with strong collaboration skills to work with various cross functional teams on multi-team projects

• Very good analytical and technical skills

• Good written and oral communication skills - ability to articulate complex issues understandably and engagingly

• Strong sense of commitment and responsibility

• Self-starter, have can-do attitude, collaborative and adaptable

• Ability to work in global virtual teams

• Ability to write code based on technical designs

• Ability to provide logical explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

• Ability to support offshore team during offshore business hours

• Flexible to work in different shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare Domain Experience

• Prior experience of healthcare/Medicare/Medicaid

• Working knowledge of Healthcare Payor organizations

• Knowledge on FACETS as a product
