1. Develop, maintain, and promote an internal web-based repository of UI design guidelines and patterns, code samples, and UI componentry.
2. Partner with User Experience and Product teams to implement and augment the Design Language System.
3. UI (User Interaction) domain would mean the UI architect should be responsible to choose right set of JavaScript frameworks, UI libraries, models of interaction with the servers, layouts, caching, responsive UI that can be easily viewed on a variety of devices and form factors, etc. The primary concern should also be security and to minimize the vulnerabilities to attack.
4. Responsible for creating highly scalable, flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of best practices.
5. Providing technical expertise for every phase of the project lifecycle; from concept development to solution design, implementation, optimization and support.
6. Be an Interface with a set of clients (client senior developers and architects) to create technology specifications from business requirements for one or more modules within the project.
7. Responsible to prepare the technical design of the components within the module (one or more of client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization).
8. Proficient in articulating the pros and cons of using a certain technology stack or component or design pattern versus another to the clients and project team and drives selection of technologies, designs to come up with the optimal architecture.
9. Drives the performance tuning, re-design and re-factoring for a module.
10. Contributes to designing and implementing the build, release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the application.
11. Implements (hands-on) the module components based on prevailing Framework and Open-source standards & its best practices.
12. Mentors the team (people working on the module and other project team members) on technology concepts and best practices for design, implementation and other processes.
