Position Title: Manager - Engineering Location: Andheri, Mumbai Qualifications: Advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering
Experience Required: 15+ Yrs (10 years in core development + 5 years in leadership management)
Job Description:
Manage software engineers working on partner integrations on our payment processing platform Participate in team planning and coordination with other teams within the organization Contribute to engineers professional growth through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and Statements of Alliance Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team Lead improvements in documentation, process, and training Be highly motivated and maintain a positive, can-do attitude
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience with engineering team management / leading a team of 10 - 12 engineers Strong sense of ownership with a track record of delivering quality projects 10+ years experience with Java/JEE and related technologies Knowledge of developing trends and emerging standards in relevant fields
Understanding of the software development life-cycle Attention to detail and strong organization skills Strong communication skills for working with third-parties
Desired Skills:
Previous experience working with multinational companies with distributed teams Experience working in high-performingdevelopmentteamsusingAgilemethodologiesand tools Experience integrating with third party web services across a variety of technologies e.g. REST, SOAP, SMPP Understanding of Enterprise Integration/Design Patterns e.g. dependency injection/inversion-of-control using Spring, Guice Understanding of RESTful API design principles Experience with some (or all) of the following technologies/frameworks/tools: JPA, Hibernate, Jersey, Spring/Guice, SpringWS, JMX, Hessian, Apache Camel, RMI, MySQL, JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, Eclipse/Intellij, Maven, Git, etc.
