Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Identify, assess and solve complex business problems around growing big data
Gather Big Data requirements from our products, act independently to plan & execute scalable, and realtime solutions
Provide architectural and technical leadership on developing our core data platform
Help scale our data platform as we experience massive data growth
Make informed decisions for data needs of customers
Manage medium sized team of Big Data engineers
Work on state of the art technologies in the market
Work on distributed environment on cloud servers
4+ years of hands-on software development experience on with Java based product & application development
Hands on experience with Data Indexing and distributed search engines (Elastic SearchSolr)
Experience with Big data technologies such as Hadoop, map reduce, spark, hbase is desired
2+ years of experience in leading a team of technologists, mentoring and helping them with day to day technical impediments to achieve business goals
1+ years of experience in technical architectural design keeping considerations of performance, scalability and maintainability in mind
Participant to AgileScrum methodology as Scrum master or team member having exposure to estimations to task allocations using Jira or Rally or similar tools
Exposure to software development best practices such manual & automated code reviews, design reviews, unit testing, test automation, continuous integration etc.
Ability to articulate and present the points across (both verbal & written) during the problem solving lifecycle (ideation to implementation) phase is desired for this role
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
B Tech BE M Tech ME or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant fields
