Built-up Area Carpet area + wall thickness + balcony (usually 10-20% more than carpet). Super Built-up Area Built-up area + proportionate share of common areas like lobbies and staircases. RERA Carpet Area Carpet area calculated as per RERA standards—often the most accurate. BHK Bedroom-Hall-Kitchen. E.g., 2BHK means 2 bedrooms, 1 hall, 1 kitchen. Configuration Layout type of the apartment, e.g., 1RK, 1BHK, 2BHK, etc. Floor Rise Rent may vary depending on which floor the flat is on. Loft/Mezzanine Extra platform inside the unit, often used for storage or sleeping. Plot Area For independent houses—total land area the property is built on. Furnishing & Property Type Term Explanation Furnished Includes furniture like beds, sofas, wardrobes, dining sets. Semi-Furnished Basic fixtures like wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, fans, lights. Unfurnished No furniture or appliances—just a bare flat. Independent House A standalone residential unit, not part of an apartment building. PG (Paying Guest) Shared accommodation, often for students/professionals. Studio Apartment 1 room that serves as bedroom + living + kitchen. Service Apartment Furnished rental unit available for short stays with amenities like hotel service. Renting & Agreement Terms Term Explanation Tenancy Agreement / Lease Deed Legal contract between tenant and landlord outlining rental terms.
