Job Description

Academic / Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months current nursing experience
• IELTS/OET passed NMC requirements with a score of 7
• CBT1 passed
• They can be interviewed ONLY after IELTS / CBT1 is passed.

Following are the salient points WRT emoluments:

1. They have to clear CBT2 within 6 months of their arrival in the UK. Total 3 attempts allowed for this clearance in the UK. Fees for this test is 850 per test. Fees for CBT1 and the first attempt of CBT2 would be reimbursed by the employer. Additional attempts to be borne by the nurse. If CBT2 is not cleared in 6 months the visa would be terminated. The normal time taken by Indian nurses to clear this test is 4 months, mostly in 1st attempt.

2. Starting Salary would be 20480 per annum approx. 242000 per annum after clearing CBT2 salary will increase by 2000 p.a. The annual increments are as per the grading but approx. increase in every grade is 4000 p.a. Details of grading available onnhs.co.uk

3. 1st 8weeks accommodation either provided by the care home or rent reimbursed up to 500. Thereafter nurses will have to manage.

4. Tier 2 visa provided for 3 years where they cannot take any other employment or part-time job. Family including children up to 18 years can be sponsored on dependent status after they settle down. Their employment is locked in for 3 years with the employer.

5. Living expenses for a single nurse is approx. 850 to 900 p.m. . . . Hence approx. the minimum saving potential is 12000 in the first year. Depending on their increments it can go up further.

6. Nurses can / may be asked for their preferred location at the time of the interview.
