Job Description
Position DescriptionCandidates should be hands-on tech leaders who understand architecture, cloud platforms, and build software at scale and real time use cases, Engineering lead and managers with solid programming and software development background and should already be managing one or more software development teams in their current role for at least 2 years or more
Primary Responsibilities:
Focus on leads and individual contributors who are highly technical with respect to Java, platform development, micro services, REST, Spring boot, OAuth/SAML, and latest technologies like (one or more) Kafka, SnS/SQS, Cassandra, MongoDB, DynomoDB, mySQL, Elastic Search
Define, justify, build and manage asset intensive solution ecosystem
Collaborate with both Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, Partner Solution Architects, and Technical Architects to ensure that the Solution is accurate to deliver outcomes to the client and reliable from a technology perspective
Understand and communicate new product and solution requirements back to the solution development and management team
Lead others toward technical accomplishment, collaborative project team efforts and achievement of important project goals
Independent communication with business partners to resolve design issues and negotiate project related items such as priorities and completion deadlines
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s/Master s Degree in Computer Science, software engineering or related discipline
- 12 and more years of experience in IT
- 2+ years of experience in managing one or more software development teams
- Significant experience in complex development environment or across multiple platforms
- Hands-on experience on J2EE frameworks like Spring, ORM (Hibernate, Open JPA etc.), Webservices. REST/SOAP and application deployment and Devops technologies, application platform configuration and performance optimization
- Experience with Webservices, Application Server (WAS/Weblogic), Spring
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring, J2EE application servers Tomcat, JBoss or WebSphere and Oracle/MYSQL
- Have led the complete SDLC of one or more software development project using Java, J2EE for 2+ years
- Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customers and staff
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in Agile methodology
