Senior Software Engineer (Microstrategy) @ Terra Technology

• Hands-on development maintenance experience in MicroStrategy 9.x, 10.x Knowledge Experience on enterprise portal integration, mobile integration, write back to source data based on analysis by business users, alerts via mail, mobile based on pre-defined events
• Be able to architect solutions on MSTR platform
• Ability to define and review complex Metric
• Ability to architect MSTR Cubes for solving complex business problems
• Good conceptual knowledge and working experience on meta data creation framework models universe etc., creating report specifications, integration test planning testing, unit test planning testing, UAT implementation support Strong knowledge of quality processes SDLC, Review, Test, Configuration Management, Release Management, Defect Prevention
• Knowledge of Database is essential and ability to review the SQL passes and make decisions based on query timings
• Clear understanding of relational databases
• Should always focused on performance aspect in the design, development
• Ability to do performance tuning using different tools and techniques
• Strong product development experience and knowledge of product development processes
• Should have good communication skills to interact with the stakeholders and clear understanding of requirements
• Ability to work in collaboration with teams from different geographical locations
• Excellent Communication Skills (Written, Verbal, team work and issue resolution)
• Have interest in integration techniques with Big data tools and techniques
• Have hands on experience on creating MSTR deployment packages, Command manager scripts
• Knowledge of Retail domain is essential
• Hands on knowledge of MSTR admin is preferred

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Architect solutions to solve complex reporting requirements by designing a good extendable solution stack
• Identify and design common functionality
• Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, scorecards
• Ensure code documentation (Inline, function / module level)
• Enhancement and maintenance support of existing database components
• Ensure updates to code documentation
• Performs code walkthrough to ensure all code paths are covered, dead code is removed
• Runs performance tests, optimizes code, eliminates memory leaks
• Debug and fix bugs arising during development and testing
• Help Support team with Issue Diagnostic and Resolution
• Communicate progress of allocated tasks periodically

Qualifications including education:

• Bachelor s Degree in a technical discipline
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in software development
• Good team player
• Good Communication skills and ability to work on multiple requirements
• Technology hands on Primary MicroStrategy, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, Oracle
• Technology hands on Secondary Qlik Sense, Integration Services, Performance tuning, .Net CLR, Hadoop tech and tools, Analysis Services, MDX
• Knowledge of design patterns is essential
