Responsibilities

• Act as a lead attorney for India related matters
• Review, draft and negotiate various types of contracts and requests for proposals (RFPs)
• Provide advice and assistance regarding legal interpretations and analyses of the business risk of contracts
• Manage litigation, outside counsel and work closely with relevant business leaders to resolve other disputes
• Provide legal advice and assistance to Regulatory, Quality, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and other departments
• Review, draft, implement and monitor compliance with policies
• Monitor and implement requirements under data privacy laws
• Perform other duties as assigned by AMEA Legal head.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience as in-house legal department of multinational company
• Law degree from a top university/law school and strong academic record
• Candidates with Manufacturing experience will be preferred
• At least 5 years of corporate transactional experience, with particular emphasis on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, including customer, vendor and service contracts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed, international organization, supervise team
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
