Job Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead the development and expansion of a retail distribution base for small apparel or kirana supply chain companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, distribution, and market development in the apparel industry, or experience in e-commerce platforms such as Udaan, Elasticrun, Jumbotail, Ajio, Solv, etc. A solid understanding of apparel distribution and field sales is mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Retail Distribution Development:

      • Build and manage a strong distribution network for small apparel/kirana supply chain companies across the region.
      • Drive market linkages and ensure smooth supply chain operations for the apparel industry.
    2. Sales and Market Development:

      • Identify and onboard potential partners, retailers, and distributors for apparel products.
      • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and distribution targets.
      • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
    3. Field Sales Execution:

      • Oversee field sales operations to ensure seamless execution of distribution plans.
      • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure proper product placement and sales optimization.
    4. Team Leadership:

      • Handle and mentor a small team (0-1 team members initially).
      • Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance within the sales team.
    5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

      • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment with business goals.
      • Build strong relationships with key distributors and retailers to ensure long-term partnerships.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Experience:
      • 5+ years of experience in sales, distribution, or market development in the apparel industry or e-commerce platforms.
      • Hands-on experience with apparel distribution and field sales is mandatory.
    • Skills:
      • Strong understanding of the supply chain and market linkages in the apparel industry.
      • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing distribution networks.
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
    • Team Handling:
      • Experience in managing small teams (0-1 members) is preferred.
    • Education:
      • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
