Our Boards and Panels Business Unit (BU) focuses on offering premium quality products for various construction and industrial applications. Role Description The Technical Service Officer will be responsible for providing technical support for the Boards and Panels business, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, product performance, and trouble-free installations. The role requires extensive interaction with customers, distributors, and internal teams to support product application, resolve technical issues, and assist in product optimization. Key Responsibilities: Customer Support & Technical Assistance: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Everest Boards and Panels products. Assist customers, contractors, and architects with product application and installation queries. Troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues and complaints. Site Visits and Audits: Conduct on-site inspections and audits to ensure correct product application and adherence to installation standards. Provide guidance and recommendations for efficient product usage and troubleshooting. Training & Knowledge Sharing: Train internal teams, customers, and dealers on product features, installation processes, and best practices. Update clients on product innovations, technical advancements, and regulatory requirements. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including product manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting documents. Prepare reports on customer feedback, product performance, and site evaluations. Product Feedback & Quality Control: Monitor product quality and report issues back to the R&D or quality assurance teams. Collaborate with product development teams to improve product features and performance based on customer feedback. Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and provide technical inputs for product development and marketing strategies. Assist in resolving technical queries that could affect the sales process. Compliance and Safety: Ensure products meet regulatory and safety standards for the respective markets. Advise customers on safety protocols during installation and use. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in technical service, product support, or a related field, ideally in the construction or building materials industry. Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building materials, particularly boards and panels (e.g., insulation, drywall, etc.). Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders. Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Customer Orientation: Strong customer service mindset and focus on client satisfaction. Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of building codes and standards related to boards and panels. Certification in relevant technical domains or building materials. Experience with AutoCAD or similar software for technical drawings. Key Competencies: Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
