Job Description

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geoscience and Geospatial Analyst with 2 years of professional experience to support our environmental, geological, and geospatial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with GIS software, geospatial data analysis, remote sensing, and the application of geoscience principles. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to collect, analyze, and visualize data to inform decision-making processes in various projects related to environmental management, resource planning, and land-use planning. Key Responsibilities: Collect and process geospatial data from various sources including satellite imagery, GIS datasets, and field data. Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS) to analyze spatial data and create maps and reports for project stakeholders. Perform spatial analysis, including buffer analysis, proximity analysis, and terrain modeling. Conduct remote sensing image interpretation and analysis using tools like ENVI, ERDAS, or similar software. Assist in geophysical surveys, geological mapping, and the analysis of subsurface data. Maintain and update geospatial databases and ensure data accuracy and quality control. Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and other specialists to integrate geospatial data into project plans and solutions. Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Stay current on the latest geospatial technologies, software updates, and industry trends. Required Qualifications: Bachelors/Master's degree in Geosciences, Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, or a related field. At least 2 years of professional experience working with GIS and geospatial technologies. Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.), remote sensing tools, and spatial analysis techniques. Basic understanding of geoscience concepts, such as geology, hydrology, and soil science. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex datasets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with field data collection and survey techniques is a plus.
