Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled Site Service Cum Site Engineer to join our team and help deliver high-quality residential on-grid solar projects. This role combines both survey and site engineering responsibilities, requiring expertise in assessing residential properties for solar installations, managing project execution, and ensuring efficient and timely implementation of on-grid solar systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Site Survey & Assessment: o Perform detailed site surveys for residential properties, assessing roof structures, electrical connections, shading, and orientation for optimal solar panel placement. o Measure roof dimensions, assess panel placement options, and document results for system design purposes. o Evaluate and record the local grid connectivity, electrical load requirements etc o Provide clients with an initial evaluation report outlining the systems potential, including estimated energy savings, expected system output, and financial feasibility based on our Project Proposal. 2. Site Execution & Supervision: o Supervise and manage the installation process of the residential on-grid solar systems, ensuring that installation teams follow engineering drawings and technical specifications. o Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory codes, and client requirements on-site. o Manage and coordinate the transportation and delivery of system components (e.g., solar panels, inverters, mounting structures) to the site. o Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, electrical components, and wiring in accordance with system design specifications. o Conduct routine site inspections and perform quality checks to ensure work complies with project plans and standards. 3. System Testing & Commissioning: o Collaborate with electrical teams to carry out testing of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with grid connectivity standards. o Assist in the commissioning of the solar system, including verifying system performance and handling any troubleshooting needs. o Support clients through the final walkthrough, explaining the systems operation, maintenance, and safety features. 4. Documentation & Reporting: o Maintain accurate documentation of all site survey results, engineering plans, installation progress, and any site-specific issues. o Generate and submit site reports to project managers, highlighting key metrics, installation status, and challenges encountered. o Document any deviations from the design and ensure that project records are updated accordingly. 5. Client Interaction: o Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs, address any concerns, and provide timely updates on project progress. o Provide customers with post-installation advice on system use, energy savings, and maintenance. Fault Diagnosis & Rectification (Service Role): Fault Identification: Perform on-site diagnostics to identify issues in solar plants, including electrical faults, equipment malfunctions, and system inefficiencies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to inverters, electrical wiring, fuses, and solar panels. Repairs & Maintenance: Replace or repair faulty components such as fuses, burned wires, and other electrical parts. Conduct routine maintenance checks and preventive actions to minimize system downtime. Key Skills & Qualifications: Education: o Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Related Field Experience: o Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in site surveys and the installation of residential solar on-grid systems shall be beneficial o Familiarity with electrical systems, solar power components, and grid connectivity is essential. Soft Skills: o Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members. o Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. o Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. o Strong organizational and reporting skills.
