Job Description
- Design & Development: Design mechanical components and systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Develop detailed designs, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes, conduct tests, and analyze results to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and durability requirements. Recommend improvements and modifications based on testing outcomes.
- Project Management: Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects, including budgeting, timelines, resource allocation, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Ensure the timely and successful completion of projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure mechanical systems integrate well with electrical and software components. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve engineering issues, including mechanical failures, design flaws, and inefficiencies. Provide innovative solutions to improve product performance and quality.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all designs and processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations. Stay updated with the latest engineering standards and technological advancements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for designs, test results, product specifications, and manufacturing processes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management on project status.
- Manufacturing Support: Support the production team in the manufacturing process, including troubleshooting issues, reviewing production drawings, and ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement design improvements and cost-effective solutions. Research and develop new engineering technologies and methodologies.
