 Senior Associate (Technology) Software Tester

Job Description

Reports to:Manager (Technology). We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in manual testing and possess knowledge of applications built using .NET Core, Angular, and MySQL tech stack. Candidates with knowledge and experience in automated testing will be preferred.
  • Key Responsibilities. Testing Activities:. Manual Testing:. Conduct functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using a bug tracking tool (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Database Testing:. Validate stored procedures, triggers, and database integrity.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy and consistency.
  • API Testing:. Test RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Validate request and response formats, headers, and error codes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:. Work closely with developers to reproduce and debug issues.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  • Provide test plans and test case documentation for review.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by guiding end users.
  • Requirements. Educational Qualifications:. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications. ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience Level:Minimum 3 years. Technical Skills. Strong knowledge of testing principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in testing web applications built using .NET Core and Angular.
  • Experience with MySQL database testing and strong SQL skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in automated testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent will be preferred.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Soft Skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
