Job Description
- System Installation:
- Install irrigation systems, including pipes, sprinklers, drip lines, valves, timers, and pumps.
- Work with clients to assess irrigation needs and design efficient systems.
- Ensure the proper placement and setup of equipment to achieve optimal water distribution.
- Maintenance and Upkeep:
- Regularly inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean and replace clogged nozzles, filters, and other components as necessary.
- Adjust sprinkler heads, timers, and controllers to meet seasonal or client-specific needs.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and repair issues with irrigation systems, including leaks, broken pipes, faulty pumps, and electrical components.
- Respond promptly to repair requests and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Replace damaged parts and recalibrate systems for efficiency.
- Water Conservation:
- Monitor and adjust systems to ensure efficient water usage, minimize waste, and promote sustainability.
- Install and maintain smart irrigation controllers or sensors that help optimize water distribution.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations and offering advice on water conservation.
- Educate clients on system usage and seasonal maintenance.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with clients.
- Record Keeping:
- Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs, including service logs, parts used, and time spent on-site.
- Track equipment inventory and order supplies when necessary.
- Winterization and Seasonal Adjustments:
- Prepare systems for the winter months by draining water, insulating pipes, and ensuring no damage will occur from freezing.
- Adjust irrigation systems for seasonal changes, ensuring that systems are optimized for varying water needs throughout the year.Role & responsibilities
