Lead Automation Test Engineer

Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be working in our SPARK Radiology division on the new SPARK.ai platform being launched for radiology reporting. You will:
- Define and implement end-to-end test strategies for SPARK.ai, including functional, regression, performance, security, and non-functional testing.
- Develop and execute automated test cases to ensure robust software releases, integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead the test automation framework development using tools like Puppeteer, Playwright, and NodeJS-based automation.
- Work in a collaborative environment, with architects and technical leaders to understand the product vision to better implement your testing frameworks
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and build effective test plans.
- Identify, track, and document defects and collaborate with engineers for timely resolution.
- Optimize AWS/microservices-based API testing, ensuring high scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Seek to understand problems thoroughly before implementing solutions. Asks questions to clarify requirements when ambiguities are present.
- Drive continuous improvements in QA best practices, ensuring high-quality product releases aligned with business goals.
- Prioritize testing needs and leverage Jira to document, execute, and communicate status.
- Execute in a fast-paced delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
- Be a great problem solver and have a very strong go-getter attitude to overcome any technical challenge that may come your way.
Education Qualifications:
B.Tech or M.Tech in CSE/EE/ECE or equivalent combination of education with minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
Desired Characteristics:
Technical Expertise:
- Strong expertise in developing and executing automation tests for web, API, and microservices for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
- Proficiency in Puppeteer/Playwright/NodeJS-based scripting and automation.
- Experience integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Deep understanding of NFT testing (Scalability, Reliability, Performance, etc.) optimization and reporting.
- Knowledge on developing artifacts for testing such as Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data.
- Ability to maintain and create reports for test automation in project management tools.
- Experience defining and executing system verification and validation strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong understanding of production systems and services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.

- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead QA processes, ensure compliance with testing best practices, and drive quality initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop & lead process implementation.
- Ability to multi-task & handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills team player and team-oriented
