Job Description
- Azure Fundamentals: A solid understanding of the core concepts, services, and infrastructure components of the Azure cloud platform
- Cloud Architecture: Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud architectures, including virtual networks, storage, compute, and security in Azure
- Azure Services: In-depth knowledge of various Azure services, such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with infrastructure deployment and management using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure PowerShell, or Azure CLI
- DevOps and Automation: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automation, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- Security and Compliance: Understanding of Azure security principles, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, encryption, network security groups (NSGs), Azure Security Center, and compliance frameworks
- Networking: Knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), load balancers, VPN gateways, and Azure ExpressRoute
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, and other related tools
- Azure Governance: Familiarity with Azure governance frameworks, policies, and management groups to enforce and maintain compliance, resource organization, and cost control
- Data Management: Understanding of Azure data services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and familiarity with data migration strategies
- Data connection: Knowledge of linked service and setting up SHIR for connecting to various databases12
- Data Engineering: Understanding of data pipeline in Synapse, Databricks and monitoring the pipeline on a daily basis13
- Hybrid Solutions: Knowledge of hybrid cloud scenarios and experience in integrating on-premises environments with Azure, including Azure Hybrid Benefit, Azure Stack, and Azure Arc
- Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI, and ability to write code using Azure SDKs and APIs for automation and custom solutions
- Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure deployments, performance, security, and scalability
