Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wafer Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and optimization of CNC machines, robotics, and automation systems in a fully automated solar PV wafer manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with multi-axis robotics, gantry systems, CNC machines, and PLC programming, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime. This role involves leading a team of maintenance engineers and developing standard maintenance procedures to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Robotics & Gantry Systems Maintenance:
Maintenance and troubleshooting of 5-6 axis robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, KUKA, or similar).
Hands-on experience with Gudel, Pari, and other gantry systems used in automated wafer handling.
CNC Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Expertise in Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi CNC systems used in grinding, SPM, VMC, and HMC machines.
Preventive and breakdown maintenance of high-precision grinding machines used in wafer manufacturing.
Experience in automation and optimization of CNC, gantry, and robotics systems.
Automation & PLC Programming:
Hands-on experience in creating/modifying PLC logic (Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
Troubleshooting and optimization of servo drives, motion control systems, and industrial automation setups.
Experience in integrating SCADA, HMI, and IIoT-based condition monitoring.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Develop and implement Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and predictive maintenance strategies.
Utilize thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and AI-based predictive tools to enhance uptime.
Team Management & Process Improvement:
Lead a team of maintenance trchnicians, ensuring effective training and skill enhancement.
Collaborate with production, quality, and process engineering teams to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation Engineering.
3 to 6 Years of experience in maintenance of CNC machines, robotics, and automation systems.
Hands-on experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi CNC controllers.
Strong knowledge of robotic automation, gantry systems, and PLC programming.
Ability to troubleshoot servo drives, motors, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.
Proven leadership skills in managing maintenance teams of 20+ and developing preventive maintenance plans.
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to high-volume, high-precision semiconductor ,solar PV wafer manufacturing or Automobile industry.
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and AI-based predictive maintenance.
Experience with energy efficiency optimization in industrial automation.
