- What Youll Do Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) Industrial sector Aerospace Business has Engineering Manager FMC Fuel UK portfolio open position. In this position, the incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and team management with in Fuel UK portfolio with in FMC division. This team about 10 ~ 12 engineers engaged in RD&E portfolios. Primary function involves, planning, organizing and execution engineering deliverables of RD&E portfolios, coaching, mentoring, motivating team members towards their potential. Person in this role will be responsible for building organizational capabilities and capacity, work with global teams on strategy development and deployment around FMC Fuel portfolio. "The candidate in this position is responsible for : Provide leadership to Sustaining Engineering, Plant Support, Supplier transition, NPI programs of Titchfield site. Drive functional excellence through continuous improvements using CI methodology. Passion to champion plant productivity & OTD improvement cause. Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring for Fuel UK team engineers to deliver on RD&E portfolio commitments with quality and deliver on time. Proven track record of learning agility, Digitalization/Automation, next generation product thinking, shaping products for Industry 4.0 Drive growth, technical depth, breath in Fuel product design. Leverage synergies, engineering capabilities across groups. Manage department budget and performance to forecast. Recruit and retain a team of engineers to provide engineering services to the global needs. Train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve their professional goals & review their accomplishments. Develop and control the schedule and direct the work in order to effectively manage deliverables on time with quality. Utilizes DFSS tools and methodologies such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development and existing products improvements. Teach, mentor and coach DfX Green Belt certifications for EIIC engineering community Understands stakeholder requirements and communicates to other EIIC CoE teams, acts as liaison for program activities. Manages and delivers on stakeholder/business commitments as below. I. OTD/FPY for NPI/Cost out/ETO, Sustaining engineering projects ii. Balance scorecard iii. VA $ realization iv. Capability maturity of team. Work closely with global teams to develop and implement growth strategies and technical road maps for proactively influencing and providing differentiated solutions. Proven track record of delivering projects in complex multicultural settings. " Qualifications Masters degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering Relevant experience in Aerospace/Allied domain - 7+ years with Masters degree / 10+ years with bachelors degree. Skills Experience of working with multinational engineering organization with proven track record of delivering results in cross functional / cultural situations. "Should have demonstrated skills in: Demonstrated experience in leading/ managing engineering team. Full product life cycle development experience. Developing positive customer relations, stakeholder management Continuous improvement methodologies, DFX application" "Drive for results Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully Interpersonal savvy Relates well to all kinds of people; builds appropriate rapport.
