Job Description
- Should be skilled at installation, monitoring and maintaining PostgreSQL and MySQL and MSQL databases
- Should be skilled at Configuring and managing HA cluster for PostgresSQL and MySQL and MSSQL databases
- Should be skilled at instaling and Configuring and managing operation for couchdb and MongoDB as non-sql databases
- Should be able to optimize the performance of the database, ensure smooth functioning, and monitor its security
- Managing database and application backup configuration and montoring and reporting (using Comvult and Netwoker)
- Migration experience for Non-SQL database to object storage
- Prepare and excute migration plan for database update,upgrade from SQL dababase to NON-SQL database
- Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions
- Should be able to manage DR Site components (hardware software)
- Backup of operating system, database and application as per stipulated policies at the SDC
- Coordinate with application team for database performance optimization and migration
- End to End support for migration of non-sql dabase to object storage
- Ensure backups are created on time and ready for recovery in case of disaster
- Troubleshooting knowledge on Database issues and resolve them
- Should be responsible for database and application change management procedure
- Responsible for management of database repository, creation, deletion, modification, backup and restore of databases and their tables
- Management of database repository
- Website hosting in datacenter
- Updation, modification and backup restoration of web sites
- Creation, deletion, updation of website s DNS record
- Log monitoring of all database web servers
- Health check of all databases web servers
- Hardware Monitoring management of database Web servers
- Implement Windows/Application Patches in all servers
- Up gradation of operating systems and other application software in all servers
- Prepare technical documentation
- Prepare MIS reports of all servers
- Knowledge sharing with backup man power
- Proper Call Logging/Updation/Resolution in CA Tools
- Compliance to ISO 20k 27 k
- Vendor SLA Management
- Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems
