JOB DESCRIPTION
Name of the Position :Commercial Head : Projects
Preference given to : Relevant experience from Steel / Cement/Building sector .
Place of posting Kolkata Corporate Office.
Job Description:
- Responsible for procurement of all Raw Material, Consumables and Spares.
- Responsible for issue of work contract related to project jobs/services (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical items).
- Responsible for scrutinizing of logistic requirements and Managing Transportation of raw materials & finished goods.
- Service contracts like hiring of Earth moving equipment's, Labor, & Vehicles.
- Presenting weekly & Monthly MIS of progress of Project procurement.
- Coordinating SAP implementation of Purchase module
- Spare parts procurement & maintenance of Project Plant Equipment.
- Responsible for all Raw Material, Consumables and Spares.
- Service Work Order contract related to project jobs/services.
- Bulk Material procurement like Structure Steel, TMT, Cement, Pipe of all grades,
- Machineries and Equipment's for ongoing projects, Civil Construction materials.
- Deft in managing the wide spectrum of tasks including procurement, vendor development, logistics & inventory management, alternate source development across the supply chain with emphasis on cost cutting.
- Exposure in contract management like work contract, AMC, ARC hiring of material handling equipment's, hiring of stevedores and manpower contract.
- Track record in implementing cost saving measures to achieve substantial reduction in terms of inventory.
- Strong vendor data bank national & International.
- Strategic planner with expertise in designing, method, create value & implementing systems & procedures of Procurement (SOP) as per ISO norms to achieve cost control and enhance the overall efficiency of the organization in line with the Purchase / Materials Management.
- Managing Logistic Management - In & Out bound Transportation.
- Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies. Setting up the project procurement plan incorporating all the contractual & statutory requirements while ensuring project schedule & cost.

- Drafting of Tender / Enquiry, Evaluation of BOQ/BOM, Comparative sheet (Bid-Tabulation), Negotiation/ Finalisation of PO/Contract, Drafting & preparation of PO/WO, work progress / delivery follow- up with contractor/Vendors and ensuring timely issue of payment.
Educational Qualification - Engineering Graduate or Graduate / MBA / PG Diploma in Material Management.
Experience
- 20 to 30 years in Commercial or Procurement Management of Civil & Mechanical Projects .
IT Skills
- Proficient in Ms. Office and SAP .
CTC : Best in the industry .
