The Project Lead will spearhead the District Project Management Unit (DPMU) of one our client, a team dedicated to strengthening foundational learning (FLN) mission implementation at the district level. The role involves providing strategic, academic, and governance support to district and block-level stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. The Project Lead will manage a team of 4-5 Project Managers and collaborate closely with government officials to drive systemic improvements in education delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain relationships with key district and block-level officials, including the District Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, Basic Shiksha Adhikari, DIET Principal, and Block Education Officers.
Strategic Leadership: Drive planning, goal-setting, and problem-solving to overcome implementation bottlenecks and ensure project success.
Team & Project Management: Oversee the DPMU team, ensuring effective execution of project deliverables while maintaining a strong operational focus.
Academic & Governance Oversight: Provide technical guidance to strengthen review mechanisms, monitoring systems, and capacity-building initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Design and implement robust monitoring frameworks to track progress and derive actionable insights.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in project/program management , preferably in large-scale implementation.
Strong team leadership skills with prior experience managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience working with government systems.
Prior exposure to the Indian education sector , particularly in program implementation or policy advocacy.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and process improvement .
