Job Description

Presentsmenus, suggests cocktails and/or daily specials.
Exhibitsknowledge of all items on the menu and wine list.
Takes order.
Preparesorder for presentation to guest.
Replenisheswater.
Makes andpours coffee for the customers.
Clears tablethroughout dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes,glassware and silverware.
Processescustomer restaurant bills promptly and accurately.
Cleanstables, chairs and floor area.
Resets tablequickly.
Polishessilverware and folds linen.
Check theoverall condition of the dining room, ensuring its readiness for customers.
Assistsservice team as necessary to meet or exceed guest expectations.
Log book andreservations must be read at the beginning of each shift.
Possesses avalid liquor card at all times.
Acquires aworking knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities and local information torespond to customer questions in these areas. Promote all other services the hotel provides.
Informssupervisor/manager of any customer dissatisfaction.
Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectivesof this position.
Givespersonal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork whenproviding guest service
Listens,apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolvingguest problems
Provides YesI Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes theresponsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their bestjudgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performsother duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuinehospitality
Attends workon time and as scheduled.
Followshotel grooming, hygiene and dress standards.
Minimisesafety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Refrain frompersonal conversations with other employees at the main entrance.
Keepsimmediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusualmatters of significance.
Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectivesof this position.
Maintains afavourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster andpromote co-operative and harmonious working climate.
At all timeprojects a favourable image of the Brand to the public.
REQUIREMENTS
One yearrestaurant experience, preferably in hospitality industry
High schooldiploma required
Excellentoral and written communication skills
Able tocollaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers
Knowledge oflocal liquor laws and regulations
Strong floorpresence with focus and energy
Ability tomultitask and work well under pressure
