Job Description

    Job Title: HR Manager Automobile Industry

    Location : Kurla 
    Department: Human Resources
    Reports to: Head of HR / General Manager
    Experience Required: 5+ years (preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector)
    Education: MBA in HR or related field


    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resource functions in our automotive manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment of HR strategies with business goals and will drive initiatives in recruitment, employee engagement, compliance, performance management, and industrial relations.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

    • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs.

    • Lead recruitment drives, campus hiring, and onboarding processes.

    • Maintain manpower planning in alignment with production goals.

    2. Employee Engagement & Retention

    • Implement engagement activities to improve morale and reduce attrition.

    • Handle employee grievances with a proactive and empathetic approach.

    • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and develop action plans accordingly.

    3. Performance Management

    • Oversee performance appraisal cycles and goal-setting processes.

    • Train line managers on feedback and performance discussions.

    • Identify and support top talent and succession planning.

    4. Learning & Development

    • Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical/soft skill training programs.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

    5. Statutory Compliance & Industrial Relations

    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.

    • Maintain cordial relations with labor unions and manage collective bargaining (if applicable).

    • Handle disciplinary actions as per company policy and legal norms.

    6. HR Operations

    • Maintain HRIS, employee records, and reports.

    • Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration.

    • Manage attendance, leave policies, and shift schedules.


    Key Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of labor laws (Factories Act, ESI, PF, etc.)

    • Experience in union handling and IR (preferred in plant settings)

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to manage HR in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

    • Familiarity with HRMS and Microsoft Office tools


    Preferred Experience:

    • Prior experience in automotive manufacturing or allied industries (e.g., auto parts, engineering, heavy machinery)

    • Exposure to ISO/TS, IATF, or other automotive quality standards is a plus.
