As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Production Head to lead our production team and ensure the efficient and consistent manufacturing of our delectable offerings. We aim to be a leading player in the market by focusing on quality, innovation, and operational excellence.


Job Summary:

The Factory Production Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process at our Barasat, Kadambagachi factory. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in food production management, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of quality control and efficiency optimization. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that KREAMZ products are manufactured to the highest standards, meeting production targets, and maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

* Production Planning and Execution:

* Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet demand forecasts and sales targets for cakes, pastries, and savories.

* Monitor and adjust production plans based on material availability, equipment performance, and order changes.

* Ensure adherence to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations throughout the production process.

* Team Leadership and Management:

* Lead, mentor, and supervise the production team, including bakers, pastry chefs, and support staff.

* Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and efficiency.

* Identify training needs and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the production team.

* Quality Control and Food Safety:

* Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to KREAMZ standards.

* Implement and enforce strict hygiene and food safety protocols (HACCP, GMP) to comply with regulatory requirements.

* Conduct regular inspections of the production area and processes to identify and address potential quality or safety issues.

* Manage and resolve any product quality complaints or deviations effectively.

* Operational Efficiency and Cost Management:

* Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.

* Monitor and analyze production data (yields, waste, downtime) to identify areas for improvement.

* Manage inventory levels of raw materials and packaging to ensure smooth production flow and minimize holding costs.

* Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients.

* Equipment Maintenance and Management:

* Oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, ensuring operational readiness and minimizing downtime.

* Implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence.

* Identify and recommend necessary equipment upgrades or replacements.

* Reporting and Analysis:

* Prepare regular production reports, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.

* Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed.

* Communicate production status and challenges to senior management effectively.

* Innovation and Improvement:

* Stay updated on industry best practices and new production techniques relevant to cakes, pastries, and savories.

* Collaborate with the R&D team to implement new product launches and optimize existing recipes for efficient production.

* Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Bakery Science, Production Management, or a related field. A diploma with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.

* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in food production management, preferably in a bakery, confectionery, or similar food manufacturing environment.

* Proven experience in managing and leading production teams.

* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP.

* Excellent understanding of production planning, inventory management, and cost control principles.

* Hands-on experience with bakery and pastry production equipment and processes.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and implement improvements.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Familiarity with local food industry standards and regulations in West Bengal is an advantage.
