Responsibilities
1. Site Management:
Supervise and manage all on-site activities.
Ensure that the construction site is organized, safe, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
2. Construction Planning:
Assist in the development of construction plans and schedules.
Coordinate with project managers to implement project plans effectively.
3. Quality Control:
Monitor construction activities to ensure they meet quality standards.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with specifications.
Supervise the Contractors engineering team to ensure effectively delivery of the project within timelines without compromising on quality.
4. Material Management:
Work closely with the contractors to ensure the procurement and delivery of construction materials are as per schedule.
Ensure that materials meet quality standards and are used efficiently.
5. Subcontractor Coordination:
Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure they understand project requirements.
Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to schedules.
6. Technical Expertise:
Solve technical problems and challenges that may arise during construction.
7. Safety Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site.
Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
8. Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities.
Prepare daily reports, progress reports, and any other required documentation.
9. Cost Control:
Monitor and control costs related to construction activities.
Estimate Construction cost by surveying material quantities for drawings and market rates.
10. Communication:
Communicate effectively with contractors engineering team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Report progress, issues, and updates regularly.
11. Surveying:
Conduct or oversee surveying activities to ensure accurate placement and alignment of structures.
Verify that construction aligns with approved plans and specifications.
Training:
Train Site Supervisors , Jr Engineers on Quality Control and site management
Should have worked on sites & reported to Senior Management. Need a person with Leadership skills who knows how to get work done & focusses on details. Should be able to manage site end to end.
Should know how to draft letters & professional mails, plan travel calendars, assist, call handlings, etc.
