Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tendering Engineer to lead our contract bidding, estimation, and tender documentation process. The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling government, semi-government, and private construction tenders, with strong coordination skills and technical acumen to win projects strategically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and track relevant tenders from government departments, PSUs, and private clients
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost estimation, and BOQ as per project requirements
- Study and evaluate RFPs, RFQs, DPRs, and tender documents
- Prepare and compile all documentation required for technical and commercial bid submissions
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for rate collection and quotation analysis
- Ensure timely submission of e-tenders via online portals (e.g., MahaTender, eProc, GEM, etc.)
- Maintain accurate documentation of tenders submitted, won/lost, and cost history for future references
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams for risk analysis and bid finalization
- Monitor updates, clarifications, corrigendums, and participate in pre-bid meetings
- Assist in contract negotiations, LOI follow-up, and handover to project execution teams
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in civil estimation, Bar bending schedules, rate analysis, and tender documentation
- Sound knowledge of CPWD/DSR/SOR and various govt. tendering formats
- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and tendering software/tools
- Familiarity with online tender portals and e-procurement systems
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to handle multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of real estate, infrastructure, and contracting domain (preferred)
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in tendering and estimation
- Prior experience in contracting, infrastructure, real estate or EPC companies
- Pune-based candidates or willing to relocate
