Vehicle Design Engineer @ Bhopal (Urgent Openings) @ Cadsaga Consultancy

Job Description

Job Summary:

Looking urgently for Vehicle Design Engineer (or Vehicle Integration engineer) who can design all the aggregates of tractors like FAS assy, Design of interfacing elements for Engine peripherals (Air cleaner, silencer assy & radiator assy), Braking Mechanism, clutch Mechanism, 3 point linkages assy. and sheet metal parts to meet the product specs., reliability targets of the tractor and end user requirement.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Preparation of layouts, detailed design and drawings using Creo (3D modeling & 2D Drafting) & AutoCAD (2D Drafting)

2. Preparation of documentation for release of drawings

3.  Design of mechanical system Domain knowledge of vehicle systems such as Steering mechanism, Operator controls and ergonomic design, Engine Peripherical specific to Trem V norms

4. Sheet metal, fabricated, Structural parts design, material selection and m/fing process

5. Conduct calculations related to sizing and selection of parts, tolerance stacking and design verification through CAE tools

6. Assist other functions during proto-type building, testing, piloting and ramp-up phases of a project

7. Resolution of end customer complaints through root-cause analysis along with CFT

8. Conduct field visits to resolve customer complaints and supplier visits to understand manufacturing processes to resolve issues

9. Active participation in CSF projects and other CFT assignments

10. Exposure to usage of Indian and International Standards as applicable to design of tractor components.

11. Understanding and application of tools like DFMEA, DFx, QFD

12. Understanding of processes and regulations - NPI & TS16949

13. Knowledge of Engineering subjects and concepts related to design of mechanical components like - Mechanics, Material Selection, Metallurgy, Heat Treatment, Design of Castings and Forgings, GD&T, tolerance stacking

14. Knowledge of functional needs of all tractor aggregates and key output of each.

15. Good communicator and Team player

Preferred candidate profile:

BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3 to 6 years
