Job Description
Role & responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance Processes:
- Implement and adhere to quality assurance procedures that comply with ISO
standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify and
resolve quality issues effectively.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to establish and maintain
product quality standards.
2. Manufacturing Technology Expertise:
- Apply practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, Casting,
Forging, assembly, and surface treatments like black zinc plating and chemical
conversion coatings.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced manufacturing technologies, such as CNC
machines and robotics, to ensure consistent product quality.
3. Inspection and Testing:
- Develop and execute detailed inspection plans, incorporating sampling methods and
acceptance criteria to ensure product quality.
- Utilize precision tools like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and optical
comparators for accurate measurements and defect detection.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, determine root causes of defects, and
implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing,
Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Identify and implement practical solutions for process enhancements and cost
reduction while maintaining high-quality standards.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality assurance activities,
including inspection results, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Prepare clear and concise quality performance reports for internal use, highlighting
key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for audits and
regulatory inspections.
6. Quality Procedure Knowledge:
- Align quality assurance processes with global standards and practices to ensure
consistency with multinational protocols.
- Implement and follow procedures that comply with international quality
frameworks, such as ISO, ASME, and ASTM.
- Conduct audits to verify adherence to global manufacturing quality protocols and
regulatory requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
- Certifications such as Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
are preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in quality tools like SPC, FMEA, and RCA.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical implementation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with production
teams.
