Sr Database Administrator @ JRS Group

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in database management and administration. Proficiency in one or more relational database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is required. Strong SQL query writing and optimization skills. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates and backups. Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, authentication, and encryption. Have better Knowledge in Query Optimization and Query Tuning Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Plan and implement strategies for scaling databases as data volume and traffic grow. Evaluate and implement sharding, partitioning, or other scalability techniques when necessary. Deploy and configure monitoring tools to track database performance and security. Set up alerting systems for proactive issue resolution. Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with scripting and automation for database tasks. Familiarity with monitoring and management tools for DBMS.,
