Job Description

Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes including pastas, sandwiches, grills, salads, and plated mains.

Ensure food is prepared in accordance with cafe recipes, portion standards, and hygiene practices.

Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the kitchen.

Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes or specials.

Monitor inventory and assist in managing stock levels, reducing wastage.

Ensure timely food preparation and efficient kitchen operation during service hours.

Coordinate with service staff to fulfill special requests and manage order flow.

Maintain quality control for taste, presentation, and consistency.

Follow food safety regulations and kitchen SOPs strictly.

Train and support junior kitchen staff as needed.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a café or casual dining setup.

Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and food presentation.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

A culinary diploma or certification is a plus, but not mandatory if experience is relevant.
