Job Description
Databricks Administrator Azure/AWS | Remote | 6+ Years
Work Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai
Work Mode: Hybrid / Remote
Shift Timing: 2 PM 11 PM IST
Experience Required: 6+ preferred in Databricks administration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, and scheduled jobs.
- Optimize performance, auto-scaling, and cost-efficiency in Databricks environments.
- Implement robust security practices, including RBAC and encryption standards.
- Integrate Databricks with Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, and other cloud data services.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
- Troubleshoot runtime issues, job failures, and Spark performance bottlenecks.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for notebooks and workloads.
- Collaborate with data engineers to improve ETL pipelines and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and upgrade Databricks versions, libraries, and runtime environments.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Databricks administration (minimum 6 years mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks and/or AWS Databricks.
- Proficiency in Spark, Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Experience with Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation for automation.
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Databricks certifications (Associate/Professional).
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and big data tools like Kafka, Airflow.
