Role & Responsibilities
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Regularly scan and test systems for vulnerabilities, and conduct penetration tests to identify weaknesses. - Threat Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, investigate security incidents, and respond to breaches in a timely manner.
- Security System Implementation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain security tools like firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Security Policy Development and Enforcement: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Security Awareness Training: Educate employees about cybersecurity threats and best practices to prevent phishing and other social engineering attacks.
- Data Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a security breach or other disaster.
- Staying Current with Threats and Technology: Continuously research and learn about the latest cyber threats, security technologies, and best practices to stay ahead of attackers.
