About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager with a strong background in the AI and Machine Learning (ML) industry. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing AI data collection and annotation projects, understand the unique challenges of such programs, and thrive in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of strategic planning and hands-on execution. If you are a go-getter with the right attitude and enjoy working on impactful projects in the AI/ML space, wed love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project planning and execution for AI data collection and annotation programs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, annotators, quality analysts, vendors, and product managers.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, quality, and stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent projects.
- Work with internal teams and clients to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
- Proactively identify project risks and roadblocks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and client updates.
- Use generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Bard) to improve productivity and reporting.
- Ensure projects align with client expectations, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as an individual contributor when needed to move fast and ensure project momentum.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 24 years of project management experience, preferably in AI/ML, data annotation, or data ops companies.
- Hands-on exposure to AI data lifecycle collection, cleansing, annotation, and QA.
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals (Agile/Scrum/Kanban, Jira, Gantt charts).
- Experience managing global teams and/or external vendors is a plus.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and how they can enhance team productivity.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- High ownership mindset with a go-getter attitude and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, CSM, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Passion for AI and innovation, with a desire to work in mission-driven environments.
