POS Admin Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :-

Manage and maintain the network infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for POS devices and related systems to the backend infrastructure
- Manage hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Manage software (POS clients, servers, operating systems)
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware and software
Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware failures, software glitches, and connectivity problems.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.
Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks
Provide technical support to users, addressing their questions and issues related to the network and its devices.
Ensure seamless integration of POS devices (terminals, printers, scanners) with the network.
Support physical inventory management of the POS devices and peripherals.

Skills and Qualifications

Strong technical skills: Knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Communication skills: Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
Experience with POS systems and/or payment processing: Desirable.
Networking certifications: Desirable.
