 Sales Manager - Small Arms & Ammunition

Job Description

The Sales Manager will be located at the factory, reporting to the COO and responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth in the commercial and Para-Para-military markets for small arms and ammunition in India. This includes establishing strong relationships with agencies, law enforcement, defense forces, and commercial firearm retailers while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Sales Strategy
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy for small arms and ammunition in both the commercial and Para-military sectors.
    • Identify and engage with potential customers, including defense procurement agencies, law enforcement, private security firms, and civilian retail channels.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  2. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing
    • Ensure adherence to Indian laws and regulations governing firearms and ammunition sales.
    • Manage documentation and follow up licensing processes required for the sale and distribution of small arms and ammunition.
    • Stay updated on changes in firearm regulations, including those by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Defense Procurement Procedures (DPP).
  3. Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Develop and achieve sales targets for both Para-military and commercial sales.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements with clients.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams for branding and promotional activities targeting commercial buyers.
  4. Product Knowledge & Training
    • Maintain deep technical knowledge of firearms and ammunition, including specifications, applications, and tactical advantages.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and training for Para-military and law enforcement customers.
    • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to the management.

Industry Experience

    • 5-10 years of sales experience in the defense or firearms or small caliber ammunition industry is must
    • Strong track record in closing deals.
    • Familiarity with Indian defense procurement processes, tenders, and contracts.
