Job Description

Job Summary:The Lead, Learning and Development Excellence (Offshore) is a pivotal role responsible for leading a team of L&D professionals in the design, development, and implementation of high-impact learning solutions aligned with enterprise-wide strategic objectives. Working in close collaboration with onshore partners and business stakeholders, the individual will play a critical part of the global Learning organization. This role partners with key business stakeholders, HR leaders, and learning partners to identify needs, define learning strategies, ensure high-quality delivery, and drive continuous improvement within the learning function. This role contributes to an effective Learning Center of Excellence/Community of Practice, fostering seamless communication and teamwork across geographical boundaries.
  • Responsibilities: * Manage a team of Learning & Development professionals (located offshore), including hiring, performance management, coaching, development, rewards, and recognition, and ensuring team productivity. * Oversee the end-to-end process of analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing non-technical learning solutions, utilizing adult learning principles and instructional design best practices, in close collaboration with onshore stakeholders. * Partner with business-facing Learning Partners, HR leaders, and onshore colleagues to understand business strategy and workforce needs, translating these insights into effective learning objectives, content outlines, curriculum plans, and evaluation methods. * Develop, manage, and oversee the creation and curation of engaging and effective curricula that utilizes a blend of delivery methods, including classroom training, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, micro-learning, and blended learning approaches. * Maintain cultural sensitivity in designs of training material to support the global audience, under direction from regional partners. * Establish and manage programs to support functional workforce learning needs and devise effective development strategies and solutions, monitor and measure to determine its achievement * Stay abreast of new trends and tools in learning and development, leveraging research, external networking, and vendor partnerships to inform the creation of innovative and effective learning solutions * Contribute to the development and implementation of an enterprise Learning Center of Excellence and Learning Community of Practice * Promoting a collaborative culture within geographically diverse teams * Monitor and measure program effectiveness to ensure learning outcome targets are being achieved, driving consistent improvement and high-quality standards * Responsible for prioritizing learning requests with businesses, defining learning strategy, management, and overseeing delivery curriculum's business-appropriate for their sector and overall growth in coordination with business units overseas * Responsible to liaise and develop proper process protocols alongside different businesses to promote quality in service as they scale. Must use their experience in bridging to different cultural barriers and establish relationship-based growth, to achieve their goals
  • Qualifications: * Solid track record in Learning and Development or Learning Process/Management with strong understanding and practices of delivering learning engagements, especially the process for building relationships to maintain product quality * Understanding of adult learning principles and experience utilizing e-learning delivery solutions is preferred as those principles are in use alongside enterprise strategic planning * Functional and/or technical expertise of developing process excellence, and building quality within services * Excellent communication and relationship management skill and will adapt well in coordinating between different business levels from onshore or abroad to have a balance for growth * Must perform the tasks and be capable in the role under ambiguous instructions to manage conflict with appropriate diplomatic care at various social and professional distances * Prioritization should be an expert level for efficient delegation and resolution
  • Skills:
  • * Strong understanding of design and development principles, best practices, learning theories, and how they vary depending on delivery method. * Proficiency with authoring tools to create eLearning courses, micro-learning modules, simulations, video, audio, and high-impact instructional graphics (preferred, but could also be managed by the team). * Ability to translate abstract ideas into tactical concepts and effectively implement them for usage over a long horizon * Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Strategic mindset with the ability to align learning solutions with business goals worldwide * Balances diplomacy and tact with assertiveness to ensure business value is extracted from each delivery. Demonstrate active empathy when engaging, and always prioritize respectful relations as core practice
  • Experience: * Minimum of 12-15 years of experience analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions and processes. * Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience, managing a team or leading projects. * *Proven experience working in a global or international setting, collaborating with cross-functional teams.* * Experience managing large, complex projects and/or portfolio management (nice to have). * Strategic planning experience with an Enterprise scope. * Working experience alongside matrix companies * Extensive experience collaborating with various professionals across social economic backgrounds/ethnic groups to bring forward results through different professional or enterprise level services or events.*
  • Education: * Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field required. * Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
