Job Summary:

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales operations of the Derma/Ortho /Respiratoryerma division across India. This role involves developing and executing national sales strategies, achieving sales targets, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets for the Respiratory portfolio.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to regional/zonal sales teams.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand market share.
  • Sales Management:
  • Achieve national sales targets and ensure consistent sales growth across all regions.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage the national sales budget and optimize resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate regional/zonal sales managers and their teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, performance-driven, and customer-focused sales culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), Respiratory, cosmetologists, and other key influencers nationwide.
  • Collaborate with marketing and medical teams to develop and execute effective promotional activities.
  • Represent the company at national conferences, industry events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Market Development:
  • Identify and develop new market segments, distribution channels, and business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Launch new products and expand the reach of existing product lines across the country.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 12-17 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a significant portion in the pharmaceutical or Derma/Ortho /Respiratory industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and achieving substantial market share growth at a national level.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Indian Respiratory market, including key players, trends, and regional variations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate large sales teams across diverse geographical locations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in launching new products and expanding market reach on a national scale.
  • Established network of KOLs and key accounts in the Respiratory segment across India.
